Plugs replaced with TR5 iridium’s, gaskets replaced with felpros, and I noticed a little coolant puddles on top of the compressor. Looks like possibly from that heads freeze plug.

Plug wires will be here next week.

Could've saved some trouble and went ahead and thrown those ls6 jobs on there. Doing spark plugs on the bench is so much easier....

I want to so badly! Just don’t want to buy Johnson lifters and new gaskets. Plus it’s kinda a lot of work
You were like, 1/3 of the way there! I understand though. It is a lot of work and then while you're in there, you may as well change some other shit, kinda thing

The long part is installing the valve seats, seals, and springs. I’ve never done it so I’m sure I will be fumbling and take forever!

That's not to bad to do. I haven't done it in a long time but best I remember, it wasn't too bad. Get the spring tool that does two at a time

Why is their stuff so expensive jeezus it’s just lifters lol. Maybe I’ll keep the mystery lifters and just buy gaskets. The lifters have actually been good since I switched to 5w30 with 1qt of Lucas.
