Turns out the parking brake is not ingaged and the reason why it was sluggish and the 4 wheele drive would not engage was because of the PCM. It was bad. Bought a new one on eBay for $90 and they programmed it to my VIN number and it fixed all that. The security pass code light was on do to changing the instrument cluster out and had it programmed for $30 and fixed the starting problem. The passenger side tailght wasn't working due to a fuse. It's now working. Only thing now I have to figure out is the A/C. I now have $1500 tied I with this tahoe that is running and driving fine. Before assuming something is a "Turd" do a little research because it could be the simplest thing to cause what would seem like a very bad problem. Thanks for the help!

Glad you got it all worked out.

Your balls are just quite a bit bigger than mine, as I would NEVER purchase a vehicle that has as many problems as you had described in your original post.

And why do I say this? Because it could have been a lot worse, it could have cost you a lot of money to fix and it could have been a real turd for sure.

Bottom line, you test drove what appeared to be a turd and you were gutsy enough to take the risk in the hopes you can fix it. I do not have that much guts or money that I would possibly have to throw into something like this.

Be glad, as you were VERY LUCKY!

Depends on experience of buyer. if you are old enough, we have all made mistakes buying cars... But if the price is right, it can be worth it to buy as is... That is what we did with ours. But we had no where near the problems that this truck had.

You can tell a lot from a seller buy just looking at them and how they keep their truck, house, or other.
