I have to replace the wheel bearing assemblys on my 05 yukon, im trying to find what size the hub nut is, i was told its a 36mm, but was told by someone else it could be a 29mm through 36. i only save sae tools and the largest socket i have is a 1 5/8. does anyone know the correct size for a 2005 yukon?

I was under the impression that the OE hub nuts are 35mm and the replacements are 36mm. Total hearsay on my part, as well as likely poor memory.

Try 1" 1/4 or 1" 1/8. Use 6 sided SAE and keep pressure centered as exactly as you can while starting the nut to move. Some times a cheater pipe and tighten it a touch. Reverse direction and it should move. If not use penetrating oil and push it into threads with stiff paint brush. Let it sit overnight. If 2 tries don't do it determine whether you are comfortable with a torch, maap gas or oxygen/acetylene.
