I believe the price is justifiable because a) it's on a dealer's lot; b) it has every option Chevrolet offered for a 2007 Tahoe with the exception of the autoride suspension and c) Kelley Blue Book agrees.

My concern is, if I take out a loan on this vehicle, is it going to outlast that loan. That is my only option to buy because I have a trade-in to work into the deal too.

Forget KBB. There is no such thing as a LTZ without autoride. There were only a couple of options on a LTZ to begin with, so loaded adds the sunroof, nav, and rear entertainment, but most have at least sunroof and nav anyway and without the latest nav disc, that's not worth much. With that many miles, it will not be certified and have any meaningful warranty (if any), so you get nothing for the extra cost of buying from a dealer. The dealer HAS to low ball you on the trade as well because he has to resell it or really eat it by dumping it on auction.

There is pretty much what you're describing on Auto Trader with 102K miles for 22K within 50 miles of me right now. There are plenty of high mileage ones to chose from. I'd private sell your trade and put the extra cash into a better down payment on something else.

Doesn't seem too bad for a dealer price, assuming that it is 4wd.

I would guess a 2000 Tahoe:

Sneaky sneaky you are but no, I would not part with my '00 Tahoe. It may be 13 years old but it still only has 91k miles on it and nobody has ever changed the oil in it but me.

The Tahoe I am looking at IS 4WD and does have Nav, Sunroof, and DVD, power rear gate, etc. I really don't think there is an option that it doesn't have. Especially since I now know that all LTZ models have autoride.

What I am trading is a Nissan Xterra that I am unfortunately but purposely upside down in. I had to refinance it a couple of years ago to finish putting my wife through school. That being said, even if I were able to sell it myself and get top dollar, I would still owe somewhere in the neighborhood of $4000.

Trading it in and rolling over the negative equity is my only option to get into a bigger vehicle. We have a second baby on the way and a Nissan Xterra is only kid friendly to one kid.

I have searched all over my area and I can find newer Tahoes with lower mileage and less options but they are still more than this one. It seems to me like the mileage dictates the price more than the features.

Will sell you my LTZ, 102k miles, 4x4, loaded except sunroof, with autoride, new nittos, brush guard, etc... for 22.5k. That's $1,500 less with expensive tires, lift, exhaust, etc... look at my sig.

I'll sell you my loaded LT2 modded out for $24,700...74k miles...

But if you have to trade a vehicle in, that seems a little steep for the mileage.
