Hi folks, just bought the 4th tahoe/yukon of our lives, a 2007 Tahoe LTZ Z-71.
A really nice truck, but I have a couple of tech questions. I believe it has "air shocks", as the air compressor sound coming from the drivers rear wheel well sounds alot like a dewalt "pancake" air compressor; F'N annoying. Please tell me it should not be so loud that I can't order at the drive through.
Secondly, do any of you guys have experience with tires on one of these? Its got the 20's on it and we bought it with a fairly (75%) new set of Mastercrafts on it. As these tires look cool, they are not ROUND. At 65mph it sounds as if a huey is landing on the roof. Mastercrafts are second hand Coopers, as they do not have to go through the same quality control as first hand tires. Any recomendations on 20's for a light truck?
And finally, what else should I be expecting to fail on this newer generation tahoe? Check engine, dash board, window tracks etc? I have lots of experience with 01 through 06 but this is a different, albeit nicer rig. Any advice, words of wisdom or sarcastic shots are welcome.
Please be prepared to take if you do choose to dish out.....
Thanks
Jimmy
