Eventually I will probably upgrade but I planned this build right at the edge of critical limits of the blower. It's got new bearings now and I've seen plenty of guys spinning them even faster than I will be. I'm only shifting at 6,800 rpm, some guys run up to 7,200-7,800 with more aggressive pulley combos. Heat is what kills these things and that's why I added such a big ice box and heat exchanger. I plan on an interchiller when a local friend is done with development...
If I ever really need more than 850hp or smoke the blower (most guys are making over 700whp with similar and less aggressive combos) I will probably go with a Turbo or 2650 blower. Let's hope that's not an issue lol
Who made you icebox? Looks sick. How hard was it for you to rebuild the LSA bearings, was it extensive?
