I went with the denali for the AWD and 6.2l plus i like knowing its a denali by just the steering wheel emblem. Kinda of under the radar. kind of..... haha

The plan is to have everything that is black and chrome, painted to white. Just little bits at a time. I think the best think to do would be to trade someone my chrome handles for their base yukon white ones. Im assuming they would fit.

What do you guy think about the black wrapped roof? I wanna wrap it because if i hate it, i can take it off. I have seen some E55 AMG's like that and thought it would be cool to try.

im sure you have plenty of class, your 57, im 22. Its more than likely a generational divide.

In that case I'll trade my running boards that are all black for yours with the chrome strip :)

I have my stock running boards if u want to trade. And when u took ur roof rack off what did you use to fill the holes in. Because I took mine off and just have the bolts in the holes looking for a cleaner look

...Let me know what you guys think. Im going for a very clean, sleek, non busy look.

Nice!! Welcome to the forum!

For the record I would dechrome the crap out of a Denali, would do the same to an Escalade :signs6:

x2!! I was considering a 2WD Denali but couldn't see myself continuing to pay for all of that chrome after it had been removed. Too bad the Denali's only have two interior color choices because if the Light Titanium was an option I may have bit the bullet and actually went that route instead for the 80HP gain in stock form. :driver:

The best thing about being 57......

... and I do not mean to belittle or insult anybody here.....

I grew up in an age when the public schools actually taught us quite a bit more than they have taught kids in the last 20 years. And it's a crying shame! Just one example -- anybody who went to and graduated from public schools in the last 20 years does not know the difference between "your" and "you're".

"your" is possessive....
as in, "Your beer turned over when we hit that last speed bump, slow down!"

"you're" is a contraction of you are.....
"You're going to spill your beer if you don't slow down on the speed bumps!"

The education system in this country has failed everybody lately!

OK.... so I lied! There is no best thing about being 57!

To the OP, I'm not going to hate on you for what you're doing. It's your taste, not mine. If it makes you happy then that is all that counts. However, some people do have a solid point about going with a Denali versus an SLE. If you wanted the extra horsepower I'd get a cool air intake system and a tune from Hennessey Performance. As for the awd system, what's wrong with 4wd? Just leave the 4wd in auto and the truck will decide when it needs it. This would also save you a little on fuel economy, especially with a tune.

The above examples are why I don't drink and drive.

Potholes, speed bumps, rough roads.... beer is too expensive to spill now!

Don't have these problems with pot!

do you want to sell your roof rack?

Im gonna keep it in case i need it

I used some marine glue and clear plastic plugs that sit flush with the stud. Then i used the white touch up paint to cover them. Up close you can see them but from 10ft+ you would never notice

I dont want to void any warranty issues with tuning it and adding the cold air and exhaust ect. I have other cars i do that stuff with haha. Its really all the small chrome pieces that i want to make black or white depending on where they are.

Not to troll, but I'm going to be a Junior in high-school this coming August & I know the difference between them. Automatically assuming that everyone in a target age-group has far less superior knowledge as compared to that of our elders.... Well, that's where You're wrong ;).

Regarding the OP's Yukon... Well, to each his own. Me personally, I couldn't justify destroying a near-perfectly good Denali like that, but that's just my opinion ;). That's the thing with modding. It stems from personal preference, or each person's individuality. I'm sure that some of you guys don't like my Tahoe, or what I've done to it, but like I said, modding is a display of personal preference.
