Grrr, the saga continues. I got the new bulb from Amazon and finally had time to instal them. The good news is that they both fit this time, the bad news is that they're slightly different colors. I'm posting a picture but it's pretty hard to tell. It's way more noticeable in person. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1418026051.088055.jpg

Any thoughts on what to do? I'm considering just ordering two more from Amazon and then returning these. I may have to call them about it to avoid the restocking fee.

OK, I went through this entire thread and while I'm not completely lost, I'm barely on first base.

Looks like everyone is mainly talking about replacing the fogs and back-up lights, but what about the main headlights? The lights on my wife's Yukon SLT are hardly acceptable at best. Coming from her Dodge Durango, they are absolutely horrible.

So the new fogs and back-ups that you guys are putting in are LED, right? Do they make a LED replacement bulb for the main headlights (lows and highs)? And if so, are they noticeably brighter that factory? At this point almost anything would be better.

Thanks fellas! (and yes, I will be waiting for an answer with all of those fancy direct links lol).

There's a few threads around about headlight replacement. You're better off doing an HID swap. LED bulbs for the headlights still haven't quite made a hit yet. TheRetrofitSource.com has the HID setup you'd want.

That looks like quite a bit more than just a bulb replacement. Do they have a kit for a Yukon SLT (I could not find one)?

I like the idea of just putting in a new bulb (like the LED), but the whole point is to make the lights brighter (not just look cool). It sounds like the LED's do this, right?

The LED bulbs won't fit in our housings. Well, they do but the dust cap won't go on. As they develop more later on, I think that technology will come a long way.

I would recommend some Sylvania ZXE bulbs. They are not HID, however, they are about as close as you can get without putting the ballasts, etc in. They are plug and play. Hard to beat OE Sylvania/Osram quality.

FWIW, most of us haven't discussed headlights because the Denali's have HIDs already.

Here's your sign.... I mean your link! lol

I would go through the automated Amazon return procedure, choose Defect and type different colors in the comments box. Print your label.

You have 30 days to return. Don't ship back.

Order another set. Out of 4 bulbs, surely 2 will be the same color.

Well, a bulb and ballast, yes. But it's not that complicated.

LEDs for headlight bulbs is not solving your issue.

Thanks for the links and info fellas, much appreciated.

A smidge off topic, but out of curiosity how are the Denali HID lights? Bright? These regular Yukon ones are a complete joke. And, could I simply purchase a complete light housing for a Denali and install everything in the front of her SLT? I'm sure it would need some wiring/plug changes, but what about fitment... seems it would be the same.

$2000+ for denali lights or $150 for bulbs and ballasts? Even if you retrofitted FXR projectors it would still be less than half the cost of a denali housing.
