Should be MP-3023, a MagnaPower unit. Takes Dexron VI. Do you have RPO NQH? 2-Speed?

Ah, my transfer case is a "NPO Active, single speed, push button control ?

Oh ok, that's the MP3010, the single speed version of the 3023. Some of the guys on here had them in their GMT900s and swapped them out for the 3023 easy peasy. All they had to do was change the selector on the dash and everything else was plug and play so they said.

Hi, OK the MP-3010 and I have different speed But I'm not too sure what I have in particular. mine is a 2WD and a 4 WD speed in 4WD , a 4 WD-low. Is that correct ? and why do some guys have a 3023 ? What ever happened to the NP- desiccation ?

New Process Gear merged with Magna Power and became New Venture and then they closed the New Venture Plant and introduced the Magna Power designs. Something like that.

RPO NP0 is for the single speed transfer case, the MP3010. This is basic 4WD system, usually includes the highway gearing. The 2-Speed TC, the MP3023, is associated with HD towing package and includes steeper gear, bigger fans, extra cooling capacity, etc. Z71 4x4s got it too.

You should have 2HI, 4AUTO and 4HI with the MP3010.

Thank you, and I do have everything you said, however while not printed or indicated in the owners manual, if you turn the small knob to the right, it goes a little further, and if I pull the knob slightly, it goes into 4 Low ? I'm sure this setting is real as the light on the knob flashers as stated in the manual, but it is in 4WD Low. The Knob has setting from the far left of 2 WD high , then 4WD-automatic, then 4WD and then 4WD Low. I can't be more positive. It's a setting, and that makes a 3 speed ?

Thank you !
