I agree, acceleration feels slow. A tune should take care of it, if they will reprogram the acceleration curve. Just mash the accelerator, and you will be fine! haha!

It's faster than my 99 suburban, j/k. My dads 12 ram Hemi is slow also due to the fly by wire throttle body, we live in CA so it might be an emissions thing, the govment is alway up our a$$ in California!

I went from a 2011 Denali with the 6.2L to a 2015 Denali XL with the new 6.2l DI.... what a huge difference! I also test drove a 2015 Youkon XL with the new EcoTec3 V-8 engine (I think it's a 5.3L DI) and i thought it had more pull than my 2011 6.2L. But for a 6000 lb. SUV the new Denali XL is very impressive in my opinion. Or, if it's not fast enough, you can get a vette for the same $$$$...... just a littler harder to haul the family in.....

They need a tune. My old Cadillac Escalade with a 6.2L had more initial punch. The Denali feels a bit lazy and requires more throttle tip in.

Are U comparing a new Denali engine to a broken in Escalade one? Not a good gauge. Typical GM fashion is that the engine will suddenly wake up even more when U hit the 15K mark. I'd swear my Impala has a V8 in it instead of the 3.6L once I hit 15K.

I agree. There is something seriously wrong with the throttle response and transmission combo. Feels like driving with the brake on. Lots of power there but doesn't feel like it.

I have two F-150's, one with 5.0 V8 and one ecoboost. Both much smoother and feel more powerful. A disappointing aspect of the Denali.

I've noticed that my 2002 with 160K has more pep than my 2015 with the 5.3.

I can't compare apples to apples yet though because I can't get on it yet. The truck definitely feels heavier and like there is less torque right now.

At 355hp rating I expect this to change.

Its the Electronic Throttle. I bought the INTUNE.. installed the changes and I'd swear I'm driving my Vette.
