JohnC12- Yes, those are low beams only. Like I mentioned previously, the light output is unreal. But at the same time, you can see a black Subaru in the distance or whatever it is, and see that the light doesn't illuminate the entire car. There truly is a decent cutoff that works well with HID's.

Weber Dude- Yes, that is the same ballast I'm using. Just make sure you know if they are sold individually or as a pair. Also, drop the extra coin and get the potting service.

Thank you, Jack! Wow... I am amazed at the output! In fact, I believe your low beams are better than the OEM high beams. Impressive! I'm definitely moving forward with this MOD. Thanks again!

Yes, my wife had a 2008 Escalade prior to her 2015 Yukon XL SLT. She got rear ended by a 1 ton Ford. She was at a dead stop, the Ford was doing 55. Needless to say, the Escalade was completely totaled. However, these large GM SUV's are safe rigs. She was banged up and bruised, but the boys were unscathed. I digress.

One of the things we had taken for granted was the HID headlights on the Escalade. When we purchased the Yukon, the low beam output wasn't even a consideration in buying the rig. I guess I had assumed that lighting wouldn't be an issue in a vehicle made in 2015. Well, I was wrong. When the wife complains about not being able to see worth a crap when taking the boys to school in the morning, there's a problem.

The HID set-up I installed in the Yukon and listed in this post, matches exactly (in my opinion) with what we had in the escalade. We both couldn't be happier.

Just finished the install on our HID headlights. Now the check engine light is on? Is this normal and somethings can reset or fix or will I need to take it and have it checked?
