i need to figure out how im going to mount spare now ;) dont think it will go under the truck may just throw it in the back when i go out

Done. Removed the spare, the floor mounted tire holder. Went to Lowes and got a 3" stainless steel S hook to extend the origonal mount and it worked out great. Actually by the time I wedged the 35 back in the origonal location it was just about stuck in there good, the bolt just keeps it there. Bought a tire cover for a 35x12.5 too to keep the things in the back of the truck clean

The S hook is temporary. I am going to add 4" to the origonal hook and it will work just fine and stock too.

The plastic piece on the floor in the first picture...that was on the floor of yours? I don't have one of those in my 98. I am pretty sure my 96 didn't either. Interesting....

The tahoe sits under a cover, I drive the suburban every day since it's easier to put teh baby in the 4 door.
