4:10 gears more front end noise . 2006 Yukon lx

I'm trying to figure out frontend noise but it's not left or right everything is tight when I jacket it up . But it's same feeling when drove older 3/4 ton 4x4 s might just be nature of the beast. It's same last 3000 miles . Rides and drives perfect down road 70 mph other noticable thing 4:10 related is going down hill with cruise on . You can feel gear back lash .. I don't know if cruise control could fix that.
Or a sensor is faulty but it might just be part of the 4:10 world . Any pointers be great .

What kind of noise? Accel/decel? As far as backlash the only backlash you should feel if any, is when going into gear, when all the slack is compressed and same with or from decel to accel, even then it shouldnt be dramatic. Are 4:10's after market or stock? Also might be just the nature of the beast after years of wear and tear. If after market some gears tend to whine a tiny bit but not to an annoying degree. We are speaking cheap 150 dollar gears vs 300 dollar gears.

There stock only 1900 made in 2006 Yukon xl My motorhome is 4:88 and it does it when cruz is on also going down hill . 47,000 miles.

Maybe it's outside bearings both sides . It's not a whine it's just like you can feel front gears more. Like a 3/4 ton 4x4.

how many miles? these diffs tend to go over 200k easy if not abused, and most of the times is bearing failure not ring and pinion, normally the rear fails before the front. I would try to diagnose hubs/cv leaks shafts, just in case, jack it up feels for play, and sometimes they wont have any play at all, but you will feel they are bad by rotating the tire and listening to it, you can compare any differences between the sides. Sometimes they sound gritty and dry, mind popped when rotating.

4.10's in my 99 5.7 Tahoe. 199k and no problems front or rear.
