4100NEX GPS options

Any way to hook up an external GPS antenna for the 4100NEX? I've had a few weak reception issues with my phone being inside the vehicle, plus not using the phone's GPS antenna would help on battery consumption (which it surprisingly actually slowly charges while running gmaps and streaming XM)

It's cheaper elsewhere, but Pioneer will only honor their warranty from select retailers
