Wow! tons of help. Thank you. I really didnt think I was going to have do all of this 4l80e stuff, but my tuner said I would probably regret not doing it now while everything is apart. He doesnt think my mildly built 4l60 would survive for long.

BTR cam, valve springs, SS valves
Ported and Polished heads
Manguson TVS2300 @ 6 or 8 psi.

Yeah I think it would be wise to stick a 4L80E behind all that. A mildly built 4L60E aint gonna last a fruitful life behind that LQ9 with goodies.

I'm jealous! If you want to, you can upgrade the stock 3-4 pinion planet from the 246 to a 6 pinion planet, just for the hell of it, can be found under $100
As far as the pump anything even the spacer/shim design will do it, but I'm biased towards the merchant fix, as its fused as an assembly with the pump.
