Check for intake leaks near the tbody. Intake cai will get loud depending on load. What gears are you running? What grades are you running? Are you in the mountains? That's a big difference vs sea level.

You differently have a problem. As other mentioned you shouldn't hear Intake over exhaust.

we have a Volant on our 5.3, it makes a HUGE "gulping" sound when you tip into the throttle, it's funny because most "car guys" hear after a while and liken to a having a "four barrel"

the above post about harmonics makes me wonder what an exhaust will do for the "gulp"

So here are the findings. it is Harmonics. Exhaust shop validated it. Told me 6.0's are the biggest problem. They put the Magnaflow 12x24 on, its the best they have before going back to stop. The good news is that the Voltech Cold Air with Scoop is the bomb. Accomplished fixing the noise and totaly different performance because of the scoop. No leaks, Both Intake and Exhaust companies were in agreement it was the harmonics.

So did you do the intake and exhaust at the same time?
