The radio option code for mine is "UP0". That is UP zero. The number not the letter. Here is the pic.

Replying to an old post, and I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but assuming that Onstar area on the dash is inactive (I honestly don't know if it's still around), I highly recommend installing a little screen and backup camera wired to stay on while driving. Helps tremendously when using a wide angle camera to see blind spots while passing/changing lanes.

I really don't know why cars don't offer that option. It saved me more than once and was quite easy to install, though I don't recall all the details. I put it in a 2002 model for around $40 at the time. My favorite mod to any vehicle I've had.

would it work for a 2000 tahoe? I would be interested!

I'm not so sure. Doesn't matter- I trashed it soon after this thread reminded me that I had it. They're mostly worthless. For what it'd take to make it work, you could just as easily get an aftermarket HU and have SO many more features (USB, Bluetooth, Aux input, etc.) and better sound.
