Swathdiver is correct the gmt900 RPO code it is found under is AXN.

I'm basically waiting for the Spohn lower links to get in and a set of lug nuts. I got a set of Maypop tires to use as rollers so when the lug nuts get in I'll tractor the axle to my garage and paint it up. I'm really hoping there is a considerable amount of room between the diff cover and the panhard so I can get a fancy looking diff cover and panhard bar.

Thank you both. Did this axle never come in the earlier generation GMT800?

I'm not 100% sure. I'm sure someone else that has more knowledge on the subject will chime in.

Lol"Maypop", never heard that one before.

Ole country boy that lives out by me has been saying that for years but I never actually knew what he was saying until a few weeks ago. He reminds me of Boomhauer.

Another good saying I learned recently from him is "that (Insert something gutless like a ford) wouldn't pull a greased string out of a cats ass".

Another nice reason to get GMT900 axle is the fact that they are likely to have less miles and look cleaner overall. For example this one I just got was the absolute cheapest one I could find and its what I would consider an 8/10 for outside appearance and 9/10 for inside.

i've beat the "g80" locker in mine pretty good, dont hear about nearly as many failures on the 9.5sf.
the only thing i noticed with mine is it will sometimes engage and not let back off, but thats usually when im doing some tuning or something i'll blast it 0-100 and then immediately make a u-turn i'll noticed the tire want to skip like theyre locked together.

Yesterday It rained for the first time in awhile and I was playing around a little bit in the Tahoe trying to get some sliding going on. Kinda disappointed that it doesn't want to slide very much and almost feels like a open diff with just one tire is spinning. Not sure if the 285 nittos are keeping it straight and controlled or maybe my G80 is worn out? Or not a G80 like I was told?

Anyway the point in tagging you is I wanted to ask does your 9.5 G80 do good burnouts? I understand that they are supposed to unlock at a certain speed but I would like to have he ability to do 40+ MPH wheel speed burnouts. Not just for show but eventually it will see some track time and need to clean the tires in the water box. Just trying to make sure I'll be happy with the 9.5 as it is now and not regret skimping on a truetrac.
