ya i have a kicker 12" L5 in the kicker box sittin in my room its really not that big and i could pick up another one for relatively cheap and just wire it to 2 ohms and it could sound pretty good i think.

that's what my 17 year old son has in the trunk of his car, 420 watts, thing is loud and perfect for him.

ya i have the one and in a civic hatchback it hit good i just figured since the yukon was so much bigger i would probably want something a little more so i can have the same sound in it.

I have 2 - 8" L7's w/1000 watts RMS going to them in a ported box. People swear I have 2 - 12's! I have the gain on the amp turned a little past halfway and they are very clean sounding with any type of music. I've had Fosgate, Kicker and JL. For small spaces and lower cost--I like the Kicker. For plenty of room and no budget--the JL 13w7 is UNBELIEVABLE!

will the size of the yukon affect sub performance in a negative way? i know my 12" L5 sounded great in a small car but i have yeat to hear a similar setup in something as big as a yukon. the only system ive ever heard in a yukon was 2 15" eclipse titaniums on 3000 watts.

I run 3 10"L7 in my Escalade and I am running around 1300 watts and it slams...they are the first series and they have been around since 03-04 and I am starting to hear them crackling. Don't know if I am going to run 3 new series L7's or try 3 different brand 10'' subs. L7's really do slam though...

I'd take the extra money and put it towards a better box.

RE went Chinese with the "X" series stuff so the older series woofers are gonna be nice to have. Just another sign of where the audio industry is going.
