Im considering a 2005 peweter Yukon SLT, has the rear DVD, looks like its in awesome condition, 80K miles, dealer is asking 14500.

I see other 2005 Yukons with 100K plus miles go for 8-10K

I want something to tow later on about 9k lbs once in a while, and something that rides nice. I use to have a 2002 Yukon SLT like 5 years ago and I loved it, but got rid of it.

I just hate the second row captains chairs, we have a 6 year old and the bench seat would be nicer. I guess I can try to trade someone if I do purchase.

The price seems kinda high to me but depends on your area too. Definitely try to push the price down.

Try pushing the price down, but I wouldn't call it too high, because the miles are so low compared to what you see in your average NBS. I suggest doing some research in the area and online to find proof that the price could be lower yet still reasonable and use that as your haggle tool.

The trouble with the miles is the less their are, the less uncertainty, ie, the less opportunity the previous owner had to neglect the vehicle. If you can find a high mileage vehicle that was truly taken care of, jump on that.

Looks great though. The perfect canvas.

Price is just a smidge high but its very hard to find a lower mileage GMT800 like that. It will be great to you just like your 2002. Towing that weight though you will need some helper bags in the back springs to keep it from sagging excessively. They can be had for under $100. Goodluck!

When I was looking to buy mine 2 years ago 14k was the going dealership rate for a loaded yukon. However browsing craigslist or similar showed more like 12k

A crew cab pickup with the diesel might be better for you. Towing 9K pounds is a lot to ask of a gas engine, most folks I know that tow anything heavy stick with the diesels.

A coworker took a bath on a 6.0L 2500 series Chevy when he traded it less than a year after he bought it. He replaced it with an identical Chevy with the diesel to pull his toy hauler.
