aftermarket subs/amp advice

i got 2 12s with a 1000w amp that i want to add to my 2000 GMC Yukon Denali, which has the bose system with it's own sub.

I was going to get a line out converter and tap into the rear speakers, but later found out i cant get just any line out converter i need a high powered one due to the bose system.

Today i went to bestbuy and asked the guy and he told me that on top of the line-out converter i also need to tap into the bose sub so i could have full control. Is this true? if so where is the sub located? i heard its under the center console but im not sure how to get in there, whats the best way to go about this install?

You should just buy a cheap headunit and bypass the whole Bose system or remove it.

I dont want a new head unit, i like the factory bose and want it to still work, with this as an addition

alright do you know what color the wires are or will it be pretty obvious? so all i need to do is tap into the sub wires or do i also need to tap into the rear speakers?

Lifted I just tapped into my fronts and mine works fine

i opened up my center console today and found the 2 twisted wire harness as well as another single harness, now which wires do i need to tap into on the twisted one?

under the amplifier portion of the page i linked you to. the subwoofer wire colors are listed.. use those
