You are not supposed to do both inputs at the same time. You either use the RCA input or the High Input. Do you have the little adapter that goes in the high input? If so, you can just wire the sub to one of those channels in there.

no i do not, is it something i could buy or whats the best way of doing this? i was planning on the rca input... but i would need a converter for that. if the high level input cord is something i could buy and its cheaper than the converter maybe i could go that install

That little connector comes with the install kit for the amplifier. I am looking to see where you can buy one right now if you don't.

oh i did not buy a install kit, is that what you are recommending? using the high input method to tap straight in no converter?

Well, the cheap easy way to do it would be to splice the wires going to the Bose sub and wire them to the High Input on the amp. If you cannot find the connector, you can always buy a High/Low level input converter and install it from the Bose subwoofer speaker wires, then into the amp.

I would not recommend using the Hi/Low level converter from any of the other factory speakers that the OEM Bose amp is powering. This is because the Bose amp filters out more of the "lows" from the speakers and sends them to the Subwoofer only. So, if you tapped into some other speakers, you wouldn't be getting as much of the "low" signal you'd like.

Or, for an easier approach but a little more money, buy the PAC Audio "AOEM-GM21A." It is plug and play. Keeps the Bose amp working, but provides two pairs of female RCA jacks and a remote amp turn on lead. This is basically everything you need in one little package.

What ever happened with this? I am buying a box with two 12s and a 1000watt amp as well and know nothing about audio. This thread seems like a pretty good guide. I'm thinking about getting the PAC Audio AOEM-GM21A and just doing the install as simple as possible. Did you end up buying the interface
