I plan to piece my kit together. Might even make my own horns, not sure yet.
How hard is it to mount this stuff up? Looking at pictures it seems that a regular drill will not fit where I would need to drill in screws? Or how do y'all get bolts in these spots?
Drill out a whole and just hand bolt a bolt in?

It's the type of kit. 540 is a specific horn they sell

The kit I used was the 240 and then purchased another 2 gal air tank (4 gal total). This way the tanks were hidden under the vehicle and not visible unless on a lift. The 540 kit is the same compressor just a 5 gal tank instead of a 2 gal tank. I didnt want this tank due to size requirements. Now that I have the compressor and 4 gal tank, I would almost add another compressor just to fill up in less then 30 seconds. Do you need it to fill that fast no but its fun. You could buy a big compressor and then make your own kit but the cost is a lot more that route. The company does sell their kits on ebay and I got mine from ebay for a $100 less then the website.

By piece together I meant used haha. Found some decent deals locally so far, just waiting for the right one to jump on. I'd love someone to post up some K3's or 5's and not know what they have! I should have everything mounted up sometime in November, after my bday in a few weeks.
Thanks again everyone, and if I have any more questions I'll be sure to ask :)

Thanks! Viair is most common that I see around here for sale.
Hard part is finding the horns

I've got my horns mounted on a skid ate under the transfer case. The compressor is mounted on the support where the spare battery would sit and the tank (real small .5 gal) is laying right beside the compressor mounted to the wheel well lining stuff. Lol. It was all easy and fairly convienet. And the only part you can physically see is a piece of airline going under the skid plate.

Not trying to thread jack or anything but is it possible to use the compressor from autoair ride to fill the air tanks? I lowered my Yukon and put regular shocks on it and pulled fuse for the compressor. Does anyone know if the compressor puts out enough to fill a 2-4 gallon tank? I imagine it might not refill super quick but would it fill the tank in say a minute?
