Someone else also told me the inside of the frame rails. Think that's where I'm going to put it. Thanks man!
How did you mount it there(strap it?) what materials did you use?
And did you go through any serious water?
Also where was the tank mounted?
Thanks again everyone for the input.

And what type of compressor is that in the pic? And how many gallons is the tank? Probably just stick to a 3-5 one.
Saw someone selling an 11!!!

I mounted the horns with a heavy duty backstrap from Lowes (or any hardware store would have it I guess)... I never sunk them in water but they did get some mud/water in them......if they get soaked they will sound clogged gonna have to face them down to drain the stuff out of them or let them dry on their own for a day then just lay on them it usually worked lol...
If your only getting one set you can either mount them in the grill somewhere away from water or you can mount them under neath facing backwards

i know I have a self Control issue at times

Put everything under the truck. (tank and compressor) it will all be fine. Depending on how much you plan on using the horns would determine how many comps to run and/or how big of one o get.

I got them on my yukon were the spare was mounted. I have 2 two gallon tanks mounted to the frame and installed in series with one Viar 400 compressor (i think). The compressor is mounted on the passenger side frame behind the rear tire to the body side. The horns are mounted in the grill facing down to the ground. Its pretty loud and lots of fun when people are walking outside or when a driver needs to wake up on the highway. I will try to upload some pics to explain how they are mounted.

Just got to hornblasters and get the 540 kit or above and you wont be disappointed. It comes with everything you need. Air line is found at your local big truck service shop for info. Compressors mount vertical or horizontal. I doubt people want to go unbolting all the parts just for a compressor or tank. It would take at least 15-20 min to get mine halfway off so theres no point to try and take it wasting that much time being caught.

I was just on the website, where is this 540 kit you speak of? Is that a kit number or price?
