Well, I did Mod my fender and air box.

My thoughts are this...

IF it was a restriction, and I doubt very seriously that it was, then it isn't any more.

And if it wasn't a restriction, then it isn't going to hurt anything.

What I mean is... its certainly not going to take away any power. If anything it atleast eliminates any turbulence in the air caused by that piece being right in the center.

Curious for those that have modded (cut out) the fender where the air box opening is, did you cut out the louvers in the lower part of the fender to allow more air in also?

I noticed this only on the passenger side when I had the bumper cover off when changing out headlights.

I didn't mess with the lovers as the inner fender area is quite large, I didn't see a need.
