Airbags in roof?

I am wondering about the 2013 or 2014 4x4 police Tahoe.
Does it have airbags, or anything else, in the roof?

I am searching for a 2014 4x4 police Tahoe. I need 4x4 and towing ability. (I believe all 2014 4x4 police Tahoe have the HD trailering pkg for 8200 lbs).

The police Tahoe don't have a roof rack. I need a roof rack. I am worried about roof mounted side curtain airbags.

Can I drill into the roof?
Are airbags present in the roof?

there are curtain airbags along the outside edge, you would probably have to pull the headliner down and see how far in or out you could safely drill and where it is safe to do so there are other wires and things in the roof.

I was reading about swapping in leather seats and some people have airbag issues. Is there a location I can find out which seats / trucks have airbags in the seats? I did not have luck digging up that info yet.

pretty sure they do even my 00 had airbags in the seats, when swapping around safety equipment like that it can get tricky, what is the end goal here?
trying to swap all this stuff into a ppv? you might be better off getting a regular vehicle and putting the ppv suspension components on it for better results

End goal is a decent Tahoe with a OK interior. I need the 8200 lbs towing and that is difficult to find in a reasonably priced Tahoe. Seems (around here) most Tahoe do not have the HD trailering package.

So, I would love a SSV that is not beat to crap. I may add carpet. I would like nice seats & I would pick leather if that was an option. IE: get a SSV and do some upgrades.

Isn't that technically an SSV?

I would think that the roof has plugs already on it where the roof rack would go. Maybe some PPV/SSV guys can chime in on that?

8200 pounds would be with K5L (KNP and KC4) and 3.42 gears which they SSVs have already if memory serves.

Just curious, I have KNP and KC4 codes, but not the K5L code. Does the K5L include something other than KNP and KC4?

K5L is the heavy duty cooling package, dual 700w fans and about 1/8" thicker radiator

Look on the seat, there should be a tag that says airbag

I think Wes covered it, his Denali had the little fan motors and he upgraded them. If memory serves, Wes said the 500 and 700 watt motors have their own shroud, they are not interchangeable so that's how one would know if they have them or not, besides the RPO and the knowledge base built here.
