13.9-14.0 volts. I want to get it higher closer to 14.4 V and I'm thinking that my 155K mile fuel pump might be the culprit. Its old age might be causing it to have a higher load on the electrical system. I have to run some tests to find out if I can improve the voltage.

The big 3 did help a good amount though. It brought the voltage from 13.3 to 13.9 V and has very few fluctuations.

Thats cool then. What gauge did u run?

I'm looking for the AD244 to put on my '99 Tahoe, but all I can find are aftermarket upgraded rated around 200a or Delcos at 130a. Where can I find a the factory 140a?

They were an option for the NBS trucks, look one up for 2004 2500 HD. Just make sure it has the 4 pin connector and not the 2 pin

What's involved in swapping the alternator? Just 2 bolts, take the belt off, and unplug the harness?

which vehicles?

i've been doing research on this lately but a few things still alude me when it comes to finding these alternators in vehicles. How many different mounting style were used for the AD244? i see some on ebay that look different from each other and i need to make sure i don't get the wrong one. also, specifically...do we have any chart listing what GM vehicles (years and models) that these alternators came in? were they all factory 145amp or some higher and some lower? is there a way to know which vehicles came with a 2 pin or 4 pin connection? these questions make it hell when trying to find the right one, especially for a good price. Thanks.
