Another Autoride Delete

My rear Z55 autoride shocks took a dump, solenoid circuit error on each, so the compressor won't run and my back end is a flipping marshmallow now. I have 115k on my 09 YD. I'm planning on driving this rig for another 3 years and I don't want to worry or deal with the shocks on this thing ever again.

My plan is to get some of the shock resistor/modules for the dampening and pull the fuses for the compressor to remove error lights.

Going to order up 4x Bilstein 4600 to put on all 4 corners.

Planning on ordering Moog 81069 Springs for the rear and Moog 81246 for the front. Planning on pulling the front strut assemblies and taking to a local shop to have them swap the springs and struts, spring compressor scares me, haha.

Off road for me is a gravel or dirt road, my rig spends 90% of the time on pavement and 75% of that time on the interstate.

Anything else I should consider replacing on either end while I have this apart? Hope to get the parts ordered up in the next few days. I'll post up some pics after I get this done.

You can sell the rear shocks to Arnott to recoup some of your money.

Wouldn't the actuator circuit be the level sensors?

If the shocks and compressor are good and you were happy up until now, wouldn't replacing the level sensors on both sides be easier?

Sorry I fixed my post, I said actuator and the errors I have now are Right and Left rear solenoid circuit malfunction and not actuator. Updated my post. I wasn't sure what this was and found information on line that said the solenoid was in the shock and I called Arnott inquiring about their options and they told me that the solenoid was internal to the shock as well. I have had the right rear solenoid error intermittent for a few months now and now the left has given up the ghost and I've only gotten the message to clear once briefly and my compressor kicked in for a few seconds but not long enough to air the back end up again.

Yes, I was content with the ride. Not sure how much better it could be, I had my previous 5 years in an 08 Sierra Denali which rode like a truck so this was improved from a comfort standpoint but Yukon feels a lot more loose in side to side movement than the Sierra ever did. I would sacrifice some of the soft ride for increased handling characteristics with all of the time I spend on the interstate.

Understood... I replaced mine with the Arnott shocks because mine were leaking. Now after a while my compressor decided to stop working. I was happy with the Arnott shocks though. Guess I need to get the compressor replaced now.

the arnott shock are only $150 (each) on rockauto with a lifetime warranty, that's less than what the dealer wants for just one.

Thank you, that's good to know. That sure is a way easier fix and like $70 per shock cheaper vs buying from Arnott. I see there are a ton of Arnott style replacements in that $150 range on Amazon, one review the person said they were Arnott branded shocks.

Wonder how that affects the overall handling, with the electronic dampening in the front and passive in the rear?

I replaced my factory compressor with an Arnott one in June of 16. Worked great until the shocks died!

I WENT WITH THE AS-2708 (NOT PASSIVE) oem replacement, they are $157 + $50 core each, plus there is a sticky in the vendor thread for 5% off at rockauto

Well since your gonna get rid of the autoride stuff you can just send me your compressor. It will give you better fuel economy not having to haul around the extra weight and I don't mind taking it off your hands.... I won't even charge you anything because your a member here. Heck I would probably even cover the shipping for ya, because I like ya.
