another new guy

Good evening all.

just introducing myself since i just got here.
I bought a 2003 Tahoe about a month ago now.
Dark metallic grey with a grey clothe interior. nothing special.
97,7xx on her. has barn style rear doors and no 3rd row seat.
hoping to keep her for a long time as I am in the Military and just cant
afford a newer vehicle all the time. I did just get a P0430 code the other day
so have to find out if its just the O2 sensor or the cat.

Welcome! You'll find plenty of great info on here. Somebody will always know the answer to a question. Lots of salty dawgs here. FYI, you can easily add the third row seating if you ever wanted to. The holes are there, you just have to buy the hardware and the seats.

thanks for the info.. i dont plan on ever adding a 3rd row seat. I like all the extra cargo room. leaves me more room. i plan on making a sliding drawer to keep a bunch of stuff like a jack, jumper cables, emergency bag etc etc. but that wont be till i go back home to Chicagoland. for now i just need to get that stupid code fixed and take care of her and save.

i love the color.. the dealer i bought it from told me it was grey over the phone.... i guess in a way it is but when i heard grey i was thinking light color.. not a awesome dark one like this..
yes she is a 4x4. havent had her in it except to test that it works.

besides the check engine light and code i do love this truck so far. Esepcially when theres some snow or ice on the ground.. but i cant wait till spring and summer to get her washed waxed and clay bared
