I've run both across many vehicles. In a standard gmt800 I have never seen a difference in economy or power. Same was true for the one gmt900 I owned. I run premium (93 octane at the elevation I live at) in my current daily, but it's a 6.0 with 5.3 heads so it needs the extra octane due to the increased compression ratio.
For a stock truck I wouldn't sweat it too much. There's no benefit to running a higher octane than what your motor wants.
