Any interest in 4wd front coilovers to replace tbars?

Based on the experience of the guy on pt doing the swap I dont know if I would recommend the stud top. The bushing just doesnt like this much weight it seems. I have the procomp adapter on mine and no complaints but im not super low either.

Yea ive kinda gathered that. My only issue is that if I go with the eye mount and the adapter, im down to like 2.5 of total travel... NOW, idk if that really matters bc my tires already rub like a ***** anyway, so idk if I even have that much travell right now so it may be a non issue. Im giving serious consideration to just doing a complete suspension overahaul by swapping shocks and coils in the rear, and doing the coilovers up front

Edit: upon further review, the shortest coilover qa1 lists would leave me approximately 1" uptravel before bottoming out with both adapters. To me, that seems like its too close and would make quick work of destroying the shock

I hate to admit it, but I think you're right. I'm holding out hope though.

1" of travel is about what I calculated as well. And this is the sticking point of doing this thread for myself. I'm anxiously waiting for a member on this forum to do his coilover conversion. He's got an NBS himself and I think he has similar lowering mods that most of us lowered guys on here have.

Yea im kinda giving up hope on the front. Thinking some good adjustables with the tony's new rear coils is my ticket for now

I have those short shocks on mine and it is absolutely not a problem.

Yea but whats your ride height, are you as low in the front as we are? I really want this to happen, but I just dont think 1" of up travel is enough to keep from bottoming out on every bump in the road

Its very important to have a bump stop installed...which I do and trimmed at just the height so it contacts slightly before the shock is bottomed. I did have a problem with bottoming when I first tried this, but have not had a single issue with it after installing the bump stop.

From the center of my wheel hub straight up to the bottom of my fender is 20". Not sure if the tahoe and silverado fender wells are the same but I think they are.

What is you guys ride height and what size tires?

Just out of curiousity - have any one looked up atomic on PT.net. He may not be as low as those of us looking into this conversion, but i read a thread where he was at 30" ground to fender on stock (i think) silverado wheels. I believe just putting them on testing it out. What are yalls distance from center of wheel height to bottom of the fender? By measuring from the center instead of the ground it takes wheel/tirr combo out of it. I just went outside and measured the 20 on mine.

Thats a good way of doing it.

Just went out and measured and im at roughly 16.5" center to fender/flare
