if you're having a tough time with wiring, I would personally just buy a kit....that's what I did.

They have a lot of one speed setups out there and it will come with all the parts necessary. The ones with the probes that slide in between the radiator blades are the cheapest and easiest to install.

You may have mentioned this prior, but what is your alternator rated at??

Then you probably have the 140a alt - if so, you're ok!!

You must get a 60amp relay kit. This kit above has a temp sensor, so as soon as the temp is reached, it automatically triggers ONE speed on your fan (personally, wire in LOW speed...you will not need high and high will draw more power)

Also, you will need to splice a fuse in prior to this relay...get a fuse rated at 50amps so it protects the relay.

You could tap the temp sensor into an existing location on your block OR you can buy that pipe i listed earlier and splice it between your upper radiator hose (i also recommend buying a new hose)

If this sounds confusing, check out the company I posted earlier. I had the owner build me my electrical setup exactly as I wanted...it came with instructions and everything I needed.

you will have three wires coming off the fan, the color of wire changes depending on yr of vehicle it came from.

Easy way to test - take the ground wire on the fan and ground it, then take the remaining two wires and one at a time, touch the positive on your battery. You will be able to feel the difference between the two speeds.

My recommendation is still to start will LOW speed; my high speed never came close to kicking on. If it turns out you do overheat on low, then simply rewire and switch to high....but if you don't need high, there is no benefit to running it and the deteriment is higher load on your battery and extra wear on the fan motor.
