Anyone know of a good condensor for my 2000 escalade? I think I found the culprit, its my undersized condensor. Im not sure how you measure these things but mine is 29 1/2 wide overall, fins are only 27 1/2" x 16 tall x .800 thick.

I see condensors online up to 33"+ wide x 17" tall up to 1 1/4" thick that fit my truck.

I seen one by "Silla" anyone know if that is a good company?

Mine is only 6 weeks old but it seems very small. My fins measure .800 thick. I see condensor's online up to 1.12" thick..... that's nearly 50% larger.

I would say look at the other measurements if those match to the overall size then it is that. If it matches fin and coils then that. If it matches neither then you might have the wrong one. The measurements are supposed to be of the fin/coil core it self though.

I hear ya but im trying to fit the biggest one possible w/o any issues. I would say bigger is better for heat dispertion. I wonder if mine is truly undersizzed??

Well after you had put a new fan clutch in and a another pusher fan(hopefully) in front with no change I don't think the heat extraction is the issue.

Any other idea's as to what it maybe?

Let me ask you something, are you supposed to change the drier EVERYTIME you open the system? I changed mine but then we we had to open the system to change the main lines. System was open for a few days. Could that have destroyed a new drier?

It is definitely a good idea if left open to environment for several days since last replacement. Though if you did like a major repair job like a "compressor meltdown" failure and replaced it but had to go back for a short amount of time and capped the lines while you did then the draw down by vacuum pump for an hour would be sufficient. It does not necessarily destroy it but the desiccant inside looses its ability the keep the system dry by absorbing water moisture molecules. And unlike typical bags of desiccant you can't recharge it by putting in an oven for 12 hours. At least not that I have heard yet.
