Just upgraded from a 2015 Tahoe to a 2007 Escalade.

This thing is fun to drive. It has 98,000 miles. Starts and stops perfect. Appears to have good oil pressure and motor mounts.

I'm going to change the transmission fluid. What else should I do immediately?

I need to figure out if those rear console inputs can play sound throughout the entire truck. I might also look at blue tooth input adapter. Thoughts?

Out on a 1500 mile road trip. Impressed with my gas mileage. We were usually 65-70mph.

We're 750 miles into this road trip. 07 Escalade has definitely been an upgrade over 15 Tahoe LS 4x4.

It's very pleasant to drive. 403 HP makes passing fun too [emoji2]

Yeah, that would be an upgrade over an LS trimmed Tahoe.

Congrats, I went from an 05 Escalade to my 07. I don't drive the SUV that much but was tempted for an 09 or 10 model for the extra toys that came available in the later years. At 3K miles a year though, I just couldn't justify $10K - $15k more for essentially the same vehicle.

Impressive MPG you're showing. I'm around 18.5mpg on my test commute to/from work 46 miles away. Much better than the 16mpg I saw in my 05. The 6 speed auto makes a big difference.

I did have a 15 Suburban for a week a couple weeks ago when my Escalade was in the shop due to a drunk rear ending me. I must say the 07 Escalade is more comfortable but the 15 had some nice toys on it. The V4 mode on the highway got me 25 mpg on my same work commute that my Escalade got 18.5.

My 07 is like yours. The only difference is that the previous owner put a B&B exhaust on it and the chrome mesh grill that I like. I plan on some maintenance items for mine as well 2 months into ownership. A full suspension rebuilt is in progress at 70K miles to make it a little tighter and better riding. Also I'm moving from the 22" chrome wheels that are peeling badly to 20" OEM chromes from the previous generation. I felt a big difference between the two Escalades I drove, one with base 18" wheels and mine with the 22" wheels. The base 18s rode better on a higher mile truck than my lower mile 07.

Was yours AWD? I specifically wanted RWD in this SUV for economy. I think it helps a bit. (I have a jeep on 35s for the one day it snows per year)

Today I was on the Peak to Peak trail in the Rockies. I was going up and down the mountain in towing mode. MPG dropped down to 20.4. I was expecting 10 or 11.

The truck did great in the mountains. The power is fun.

Just rolled 100K on my first road trip. I'm doing a 100% fluid change. Here's my setup:

And here is a video to show how brown the oil is: https://youtu.be/SqMND6otkNw

Here is the part I bought off Amazon to get into the radiator. Use your old one to make this part. Replace it with the new one when you're done. It has a new o ring and won't leak.
