Although the dealership changed the oil 2000 miles ago, I wanted my stuff in there.

With the potential cold start wear on my c as m bearings, I wanted to get a full synthetic 0w30 oil in the engine. I dud a premature oil, filter and air filter swap today. Spark plugs and cables have been ordered.
You'll need a new connector and a new pin to repair from gmc dealership. I have the same issue. That connector is melted beyond repair. You'll need to pull out all the pins that are still in good shape and repair the one that's burnt.
Very common with heated cooled seats.

Thanks! The connector was $5.48 on Amazon. I get to try it on Saturday.

I'm curious about how that fix will work. I might have to Google the disassembly of the connector and repairing pins.

You talk fast lol
Oh you're talking about the transmission fluid video. Lot's of caffeine and a baby with short attention span off camera. She's ready to require my attention at any second. Have to do things quickly.

While breaking apart the old heated seat connector, I ended up just cleaning it and shaping it. AC seats work again. I'll eventually use the new module but the old one works for now.

AC seats are pretty wild. I had only used them once prior in a Mercedes. In the Escalade I had to turn it off. Too cold!

Cleaned and waxed 2 cars this afternoon. We've had a month of straight rain in Oklahoma. It's a mess.

Not completely related. I welded together a trailer hitch bike rack for the Escalade. My wife very reluctantly agreed to watch me make sure my welds were strong.

Went drain what I thought would be a small, difficult 10 bolt rear end. It turns out I have a 14 bolt rear end that has a fill and drain plug [emoji2]

Due to the large axle my 2 quarts isn't enough. I have to run to the store to buy 2 more quarts of gear oil...

It was one like this one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1L-SQUARE-G...OME-/201369546415?hash=item2ee28f6eaf&vxp=mtr

I did have to modify it to the way i want tho and this one looked like the easiest to modify. I took a peice of wire mesh and bent and cut like a table and put it inside the catch can about an 1 1/2 from bottom. then I drilled the provided vacuum ports as large as i can with a drill bit. I then lenghten the port side on catch can from valve cover with a hose so it reached 1" from bottom of inside of can. I then used green scrubbing pads (the green part on a kitchen sponge) and placed two on top of the mesh. I did all this to filter the air and oil so id only get air to my motor. So far its worked perfectly.

THe mods to date on my expy sense April are: 24" replica wheels, cross drilled/slotted rotors, diablo tune, volt gauge, fuel press gauge, added second battery, re grounded/added grounds through out the whole vehicle, lowered 3/5, added shorter end links, rebuilt air compressor (didnt really need it), tinted windows, tinted part of headlights, and al sorts of other odds and ends, Im doing a remote turbo to in a few months. When i bought this i planned on doing nothing and dumping all my money into my supercharged expy. Its a weird addiction....

What do you think about the Diablo tune? Worth it? Easy?
