5.3 and I have a heavy foot but I get a consistent 14 mpg...K&N filter charger I clean every oil change but other than that, stock...with 173K miles on 87 octane...in fact, I am 99% sure the iridium plugs in my truck are the stock ones from the manufacturer...I've put 110,000 miles on this yukon since I bought it and have never changed them, only the Mobil 1 and fuel filters every 50K.

I would suggest a fuel filter change if it hasn't been done with in the time you've owned it.

i do mostly city driving. like 35-50 all the time with a few lights here and there and i average 14.0

if your constantly revving it high or going WOT often then youl get real shit gas mileage. idk if you are or not but that could be your answer. some people expect great things like 18 mpg from a truck advertised 14-15 city lol

I filled my '02 5.3 with 114xxx up the other day and did the miles divided by gal., came out to 17.1 for mixed driving. I don't have any mods though.

16.6 is what my wife's average was till i took over driving this as a DD and its now 15.3 which is alot better than my tundra was so im not complaining. it is what it is, and people who want/expect gas mileage need to get a prius.

So you guys with the NBS are really getting that kind of mileage???
Last week in my 96 Tahoe i got 17.3 and that was with the two right tires being really low on air. All i have for mods is a spectre drop in air filter and the B&M electric shift kit. My driving is around 65% city and the rest highway, 27 miles each way for work
