Now you're trying to hopeless spin crap because you know you've been proven wrong, (several times so far) and are tying yet again to grasp at straws by taking things out of context.

Look again and see if I said anything even remotely like that stupid statement of yours above ,,, please quote that.

No I follow completely.

The more you restrict displacement the higher the pressure you get at bdc.

With this new finding in combustion engines, NHRA is now opening up a new class: Boyle's law machines.

Not a new finding at all. Its been a law (not a theory, not a hypothesis, but a law) for a few centuries now. And all NHRA engines work in accordance with this law right now and always have (just like the engines in our Tahoes and our lawn movers do too).

You guys have had a somewhat rambling but very interesting discussion in this thread. I've learned a few things reading it. That's the good.

The bad is that you both acted like spoiled children throughout the discussion, insulting each other in numerous ways, something I'd expect on Facebook or X (though I read neither), and not something that all of the rest of the adults on this great Forum care for or want to be part of. And, personally, I don't care which of you is right or wrong in the discussion.

@Fless @soulsea IMO, this thread should be closed, as this is not the type of respectful adult interaction that we want (newbies to see and replicate) on this Forum.

No offense but Antonm insulted me viciously in every single post.

His attachments even were labeled with an insulting name “ clueless guy”

For a given mass of air , that is true, the more you restrict displacement (make it smaller) the higher the pressure at bottom dead cylinder will be. That is a scientific fact.

Anyone with an air compressor has seen/ experienced this first had as the air compression is pushing more and more quantity of air int its tank, the pressure in that tank goes up.

Since you are talking about race engines and the NHRA now, can I assume you've moved on from talking about two engines of different displacement making the same power at part throttle cruising and are now going for a wide open throttle/ max power discussion to try and hide your ignorance ?

This Sunday… come watch small displacement engines jack up cylinder pressures to make insane power.

You seem to be equating cylinder pressure at bottom dead center with power,,,,,your own equations say power is equal to efficiencies times fuel flow.

We've talked about this already, in real easy / elementary terms that you're still not grasping or just refusing to admit you're wrong so you keep arguing making nonsensical statements (and saying things like Boyles law is wrong/ doesn't work is total nonsense).

I've shown you how you're wrong in every silly statement you've made, while only using the very equations you posted (I wanted to bring in p1*v1= p2*v2, but since I could demonstrate the same principles with your equations I just used them).

You keep going off the handle with these ridiculous , "small engine this" and "NHRA that",,, would you like a specific claim, or specific point about something so that I can show you AGAIN, just how freaking clueless you are? Or would you rather finally admit that you were mistaken, and that now you've learned a few things?

And do you wonder why I referred to you as "clueless guy"???

I'll give you a hint, its because you were being, and still are being, a clueless internet troll.

And it amuses me to prove such clueless internet trolls wrong.

For those that are offended I offer;

And for those that would go on to say that I'm just a mean person for not caring one little bit if someone is offended, I offer:

I get it man.

Despite 100 years of engine design and research at OEM and university, it all comes down to a conclusion from Boyle's law: reduce displacement to increase pressure at bottom dead center, which increases power.

Good stuff.

I can't get enough. keep typing.
