How are you gonna run the front? I'd get rid of the torsion bars for a set of shockwaves and some tubular control arms. I'm trying to figure out the best route for retaining the awd and laying the front down 10" or so.

gonna take the bars out for sure. im not really feeling the shockwave because of the limited travel and i heard alot of ppl being disappointed with the ride quality and for nearly 1000 bucks id rather fab something myself and save mad cheese. i havent really had the front wheels off recently to get a good look in there, but im thinking relocating the shock and stuffing a bag between the lower arm and making a top cup somehow leaving room for the axle (or taking it out, who know?). i wanna do 3800 bags up front.

I'd overbuild the shit out of the air system as these trucks weigh quite a bit. 4 viair 45050 100% duty cycle compressors and a 15 tank would be sweet. You have a spindle drop or keys up front?

I think you can weld on the oe control arms. Have a machinist dial up your bag mounts and I'm sure you could tuck a bit with a narrower tire.

Nope not possible the stockers are cast and you can't weld to them.
Basically you take a DJM lower control arm and bolt the bottom of the bag to that. Then you weld a torsion bar plate to the frame with gussets for top bag mount, and there you go bags up front. I know I've been saying this but I need to take some pictures of my front end........

Here's a pic from someone on GMfullsize.com. It's a Crew Cab... but pretty much the same setup.
