Yea initially I was a lifted guy but since joining the forum I'm thinking about just keeping it at stock height and going chrome. We'll see. Any idea on how much the esky lower mirror assembly costs?

Two options.

1) Get an aftermarket lower chrome piece for about 30-50 on ebay.
2) get the whole oem escalade mirror and replace your stock one. I already got the driver side one in the mail last week. Waiting for a good deal on eBay for the passenger side. Paid 80 total for the D/S... Bought it bc it was a steal, mint condition, and fully functional. The average buy it now ebay price for a single mirror is 120-200... Some have defects so you have to really read the description well. The actuator that controls your mirror automatic fold in is known to break easily. My right p/s mirror actuator is actually broken right now.

yea having the chrome on the bottom looks so much better because its less black plastic on the truck... But I wouldn't go any other way than OEM here.

Could I just buy any color esky mirror and then put my tahoe cap on it? I assume so but wanted to maker sure the caps attach the same.

That's why I had the chrome lower "escalade- STYLE" covers and took them off.

No you cannot just buy any color esky mirror. You have to get it professionally painted or buy the correct color because the trim around the whole mirror is the color of the car. So you have to get the trim around the mirror along with the color matched upper cover both painted. Unfortunately for me I have a Summit White tahoe that the esky does not make. So when I get both of my mirrors they are both going to have to get painted. I'm very interested in seeing what it looks like since mine will be the ONLY pair of summit white esky mirrors. Zach lucked out and got a black one, easy... so easy...

Why do you want the esky mirrors rather than just keeping your white ones? Is it cuz of the chrome strip?

hahah yea but it's more then just a chrome strip to me... next time you see an Escalade check out the mirrors...sick.. So much cleaner/sleeker with the bottom piece actually chrome plated. I'm not a fan of unpainted black. My original mirrors are the LTZ one's with every option but unpainted black bottom and a chrome top. I got those painted fully white but I am just not satisfied. Also i'm still debating if I want to paint the part that goes along my window white on the new esky mirros i'm getting like I did with my stock mirror. On all the different colored esky's, that piece is a painted gloss black while the bottom is always chrome and the top is always color matched.

i don't think you'll regret it! I have one mirror in and one on the way. Then off to paint. At least you won't have to paint since you have a black one!
