It troubles me that GM acknowledges their intakes could be more efficient, and they produce more efficient ones, but do not put them on their vehicles from the factory.

true...but the same could be said for boat motors. Mercury has their standard line and the Mercury Racing line. I think it is a performance issue.

I think that is because the majority of buyers want a quieter ride and probably helps with some regulation they have to follow. I would think mainly just to be quieter.

I really don't see why it would be any different than 07 & 08 models. Biggest differences that year were transmission and ecu. I don't see how it would affect anything, unless there is something I'm not aware of.

They switched the location of the MAF sensor in 09 so all the aftermarket cai's are split between 07-08 and 09+.
