best way to tune amp??

Ya I'm with these guys, sounds like your amp is clipping (shutting off). Start by checking your ground wire connection, if you have the amp bridged try running it in stereo or wiring the speakers in a series to let the amp run cooler.
Might not be enough air flow across the amp, I think I may have just lost one of my amps that way :Stupid Me:
Gonna put in a fan and try not to overload the new one...

ya i tend to do all mine by ear, but i never turn the gains up all the way i try to keep them at 2/3's

especially when i run most of my sub amps at .5 ohms lol gotta make sure them ******* got enough power going to them and plenty of air to breath! :)
