And is the new 6 speed transmission really THAT much better?

NO! Well, actually, I have no idea how the NNBS 4-speed was, but it was fine in my '02, and I hate the 6-speed in my '09.

I may be in the minority, but I don't like the way it shifts, up or down, at all.

KM, you need to get that beast tuned... that will change your outlook on the new tranny :Handshake:

She is looking at the 2007's now, more in her price range. Anything to look out for or common problems with those models?
There doesn't seem to be any major common problems with the NNBS models... The only thing that I can think of are:

1) Cracked dash by the "hump" on the drivers side. Search the forums and you can find a thread or two about it.

2) Rear window defrost cable detaching. Same goes for searching. There are threads about this issue...

3) Bad OEM batteries.

You're absolutely right. I should reserve judgment til then. But now, out of the box, in stock form, it blows.

Yeah, whatever Tahoe she gets will be visiting Wheatley to be tuned before the week is up! Nothing will make it shift better and when you want it to shift like a tune, not to mention better gas mileage and a few more ponies.

I know you may not feel this way but. you may want a higher mileage 07 Denali or Esky vs a lower mileage Tahoe.. The4spd trans it he Tahoe is a POS to the umteenth degree lol.. The 6spd is nearly indestructable and after picking up a new Denali man was i wrong to think the 5.3 wasn't much different than the 6.2 it aint even close.. but good luck bro

I have an 07 with Flex fuel. I love it. Its can be a pain to find Gas stations that sell Flex fuel though. There is only one in my area. What Colors is she looking at?

That's pretty good, it's only 2 years old, has to be hwy miles, beat him up a little more go $22k and see what happens. I think more than fair would be $23.5k $25k is actually fair, depenfing on orig stk price.. %17/yr depereciation over first 3yrs. right on the mark so see what the sticker was or build it with the orig options.. good luck

Sorry, forgot to post up. Yeah, checked it out, looks real clean. But I don't think I could get her to go for those wheels, and she is pretty picky about the color too, she wants black, white or dark gun metal, with the 20" LTZ wheels (not a deal breaker since she can pick up a set on one of the forums for a good price).

Thanks for posting it up. I haven't found too many nice 07+ Tahoe's for $25k or less without 60,000+ miles. So if anyone spots any, please post up!
