BFG All Terrains or Nitto Terra Grapplers

Depends on what you plan to do. The Trail Grapplers are a much more agressive tread, and will perform better off road. However, the BFG AT's will last longer. The BFG's don't do well off road. They pack up with mud real fast and lose traction quickly.

If you don't plan to go off road much, I would go BFG AT's. If you do some mild off roading, then the Trail Grapplers would be my choice.

AT's are gonna pack up with mud more, the tread is cut closer together. If you want to tackle mud then you get mud terrains.
AT's balance off-and on-road characteristics while mud-terrains lean towards more aggressive tread for more aggressive off-roading sacrificing on-road side of things.

My bad! I misread that and thought he said Trail Grapplers. Different tire altogether!

I have had great luck with Procomp AT and extreme ATs and looking to buy some extreme MTs soon

Back when I was looking at tires for my Escahoe I looked at both BFG and Nitto, I ended up going with Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 245/75/16 there a great tire, gone through a few feet of snow in them, great in the rain, took them off-road a lil nothing crazy but I've never gotten stuck, and there cheaper then both of those too, and just as good if not better and you save some money.

As did mine many years back. But these tires were also on a Ferd Bronhco that I drove like I stole it. (I have since wised up and migrated to the Chevy party)

I have had my BFG's for about 4 years now and have no complaints. I have around 30k on them with another 30k to go. I have even wear and no cupping because I rotate AND balance them every 5k. Couln't be happier with them. I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with everyone saying they are junk tires that cup and are bad in snow and all off road conditions. I've had mine in deep snow, sand, thick mud, rocks and on pavement. I think they excel in all conditions off roads except mud, which I will agree they pack up and don't evacuate themselves. They have good on road manners and aren't too loud. That said, they ARE and AT, if you are in mud often but a MT... that simple. So my vote goes to the BFG. If you take care of them they will take care of you.
