Blackbear Perf, yal are awesome! I have searched for weeks looking for real info on CAI.

Any chance we could see the results from your past tests as well? The 2012 one would help a lot of 07-14 owners. From what I have been able to deduct is it was completed on the 5.3 most all of have.

Actually how I ended up on this thread was a post about your previous 12 test. All the links are dead from that test.

Thanks Alex! We would not be able to post the results from that testing, but if you want to email us, let us know what you are looking for, we MIGHT be able to dig something up.

I can let you know what performed the best at that time, the Airaid Jr 201-796, here is a link to it on our shopping cart, plus there is a dyno graph posted on that page as well.

I thought that you guys (and gal) did a test on the GMT900. But yes the mit air raid with a dry drop in filter was their best result.

This is perfect! Thank you. Traveling right now, but when I get back I’ll be emailing for a tune. Your approach to this testing gives me the confidence to reach out to yal for a tune. Been considering a tune for the past few months... but haven’t really been able to find a company to trust with it all ... don’t want to blow up my daily.... I am a “don’t push it, but tweak it safely” kinda gear head... after all the positive posts and analytical “real” approach yal have I am sure BBP will help me do it right for my 07 with 108k on it. And you will be my only choice when I decide to tune. Thanks again!

Might be dumb question, but on the intake where the filter is exposed, is there any reason to be concerned about it getting wet?

No. Not really. Even if it's an open air intake the hood does a good job in blocking the air. If it is a closed air system it draws air from the inner fender.
