Black Bear tuning Question

Does the Black Bear tuneup increase MPG or make it worse?
I also have Airaid jr and catback magnaflow.
Im hoping the 3some comb will help get better MPG plus make it run better than stock

Ive read both ways on here...some say it helps other says no....if your say something like that back it up with some facts...how can improving intake and exhaust hurt your MPG...and a tune up

from what i've read, you probably won't notice it at first because of the addictive spirited driving you will be doing. but once you settle down and go back to your normal driving habits, some have noticed 2-3+ mpg increase.

Black bear can give you improved mpg. The gains will be minimal but noteworthy. The addition of the intake and exhaust has proven to many members to give "spirit" as mentioned above which negates any improved mpg. You can ask them to give you two tunes a mpg tune you can run for long trips preferably using cruise control and ask for a peppier tune which is what these trucks really desire. There is a fine line so if you want the best of both worlds I would probably loose the intake and go back to stock and install a drop in k&n.

That is the best advise I can give.

I see an increase of 2-3 MPG and sometimes 3-4 MPG(if I can find non-ethanol premium). I have a Corsa catback and CAI. In person tune is well worth it.

Very true......those firm shifts get quite addicting at first going WOT

Like everyone else said, the "spirited" driving is sure fun, but any mpg gains go right out the tailpipe under WOT as you listen to the CAI, exhaust and feel the shift points do their thing. Good luck!

The AVG MPG i get is 20 city 23 Highway with 91 octane tune, Corsa Sport and Airaid tube with slight spirited driving.
