Hmmm..that's weird. The first one I wrapped is starting to peel up in one of the deep corners, but I hadn't wrapped anything in a few years so i was a little rusty. The second one i did is holding strong. I was also using some cheap vinyl i got years ago. I just ordered some high quality vvivid vinyl and i'll redo mine. I'll probably end up just getting them painted, but Im afraid if painted i'm gonna have to worry about rock chips. I would imagine that a rock chip on painted chrome would show pretty bad.
I can see how a pro wouldn't want to have to warranty the wrap on the fog surrounds. The best way to do it, would be pulling the chrome apart from the ABS plastic piece so the wrap would go all the way around. The problem is separating the two pieces. They are melted together and different points. I'm thinking about getting these http://www.carid.com/2016-gmc-yukon-fog-lights/spyder-fog-lights-70820550.html experimenting with them. The stock replacements are like 75 bucks a piece.
Hey guys/girls, Just wanted to say hello and post a pic of the grill I just put on. I bought the matte black Denali grill off ebay and had it painted black to match. I'll get some better pics eventually.
Does, the bumper have to come off in order to install the new grill?
Also, I like he matte look. Did you think the quality good enough to just install the grill as you received it from eBay?
