I found an option today for caller ID on the factory radio, whether its a NAV unit or just a CD player.
I even called and spoke with a tech there and was assured that it will work, it allows you to still keep XM if you have, but would not allow you to have their IPOD piece hooked up to it too. This until will allow a bluetooth IPOD to hook into it or a cell phone though. So those people with an iPhone it would work out great. Bascially it piggy backs off of the XM and puts the caller ID on the screen in the radio. Check it out model number BFCL2K under their instruction manual it has a sketch of how the caller ID and call display info will appear.

Yeah I looked at the Scosche product right before I saw your post Riso. I actually came here to post the same link you posted but saw you beat me too it. It looks like a pretty good product. The only down side I see to it is that I'd have to run another microphone. I really don't want to do that, but the fact that it displays caller ID on the factory nav and supports A2DP is pretty cool. Still no phone book support. I took all this for granted I guess when I had my Pioneer AVIC D3 in my Sierra.

So my Blue Fusion unit arrived yesterday from Scosche. With a little help from a stereo installer it was installed within 30 minutes. It came with several harnesses and before I tore out the stereo I called him and he said it was simple and would take him 30 minutes just come over and I'll install it. It was so simple I could have done it myself. So far its great, the incoming caller ID comes up on the radio and the sound plays through the speakers. It doesnt seeem to be playing through the left side of the car but he thinks its a defective unit. When you are on the phone you really can't tell because the call quality is good. I actually didnt't notice the rigth side wasnt working unitl I tried streaming music from my blackberry through it. I was amazed that it worked playing music through it.

The screen displays the incoming call and even the missed calls. if your listening to the radio it cuts out and goes straight to the "XM1" so you can answer the call. You can hang up and answer the call from the steering wheel controls or the radio.

80% satisfied it thus far. I bought the unit on eBay for $100 and it does everything and more than the Galaxy1000; I will keep you all posted the more I use it.

Day 2- Swaped out the unit today and it works great. Plays through all the speakers and now the music streaming from my Blackberry sounds great. I can even change songs on the phone from the steering wheel controls. This unit seems to be really good and very functional.
