Bought a Yukon XLT

Hey guys. I just bought an 07 Yukon XLT this past friday. Being from snow and salt country, I travelled 500 miles south to find a nice used one. She's got 182k on the clock, so hopefully it's good for a few more. It probably won't be a daily driver, but it is so nice that I may end up driving it more than I thought I would. I'm replacing my 1998 Chevy conversion van. I've only put 8k miles on the van in the past 4 years, mostly taking the family on vacations.

I figured I'd find a good forum to get up to speed on my "new" vehicle. I poked around in the drivetrain thread, and promptly bailed out of there with a sick stomach seeing all the issues. LOL... (kind of)

If it was cared for, the only issue you may have is oil consumption - just keep an eye on it.

The oil level did not move during my 600 mile drive home with it, but I'll keep watching it.

It was pretty well cared for. I have a pile of receipts for service. At about 120k, it had two instances of fouled plugs. The dealer put top end cleaner in the affected cylinders (according to the paperwork). The 2nd time it happened, the dealer note says the engine will have to be replaced if the plugs foul again. Ouch.

It's had a fuel pump replacement, control arm, and two left front hubs. There were also several full service events where transmission, transfer case, and both differential oils were changed.
