On my 2002 Tahoe I get this fluttering feeling from my brake pedal. It doesn't do it all the time and some times it is worse than other times. Brakes seem to be working fine.
Could this be the anti lock brake sensors going bad?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Quite likely you have a warped rotor or drum. It will be mild at first but will get worse. Lots of things can cause it. Hit a cold puddle of water when the brakes are hot, over torquing the lug nuts or slamming on the brakes at the last minute repeatedly. Sometimes repeatedly slapping pads when you do a brake job without replacing the rotors.

Sometimes you can remove the wheel and rotate the rotor by hand and feel it grab and release slightly. The best way is to use a dial indicator gauge but not everybody has one of those. On my car I had rotors front and rear that were warped and I just replaced all 4 along with the pads. It'll throw you through the windshield now.

Was a recall on 00 up years ago rust build up in the abs sensor. Does it do it right before you come to a complete stop and then feel as you aren’t going to stop, low speed. Or at normal drive times, if normal driving then yes rotors could be warped as stated by grouchy:)
