Sorry for the late reply to my own thread folks you know life and all. I ended up taking the door to a local muffler shop and got it welded back. On top of that I replaced the hinge. The door works great closes and seals. The only problem now is that it's not lined up properly. The door is higher than everything else most likely from the welds as someone else stated. Not sure if hou can see in the pic. Normally on a vehicle this age it would not bother me. However long story short since the origional post, the car was utterly destroyed in a tornado. 7k in damage but the ins decided to fix it. Now its got a complete paint job and looking better than ever i feel like it deserves a little love.n
